I admire artists who are not afraid to fail, artists who have an idea and are willing to take risks executing it.
For me, to consider a work successful, it must bring a fresh and thoughtful point of view to that particular medium.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, after which
I worked professionally for more than 25 years in Advertising as an Art Director and Creative Director in Toronto,
New York City and San Francisco.
Art has been "my thing" from early childhood. In the fifties, a family friend recognized this and gave me a book on Picasso’s paintings. I loved his work, even as a child, and I knew right then that I wanted to be a painter; an artist.
I have worked in many mediums, but painting and ceramics are my main focus.
I endeavor to keep pushing, improving and above all, avoid getting comfortable.
I currently live, and have my studios, on my ranch in El Paso de Robles, California.
